     <description><![CDATA[Well, it happened again.&nbsp; Several times in my life I have found abandoned baby birds. It's always heartbreaking and usually ends badly.&nbsp; <br />

Yesterday I ended up with 2 baby Eastern Phoebe chicks.&nbsp; I think they were victims of a parasitic Cowbird.<br />
The Cowbird lays one egg in the nest of other birds.&nbsp; The chick hatches faster, is bigger, leaves the nest early forcing the foster parents to care for it and abandon the tiny chicks that are their real babies.&nbsp; We saw the Cowbird chick leave the nest.&nbsp; The adults never returned to the nest that whole ...]]></description>

One of my dogs is a male named Rodin.&nbsp; He is a beautiful dog with conformation that is perfect in every way except for his ears which are too far on the sides of his head giving him the appearance of Yoda when he is not at attention.<br />

I can't give much information about Betty because it's not for me to do so, but I can tell you that she is a sweet, wonderful, 80 years young, mother and grandmother who is fighting to survive triple valve replacement.<br />

She has been in ICU for a month.&nbsp; <br />
<br />
She needs to come home.<br />
<br />

     <description><![CDATA[It's the day after the showcase and I am home and sleepy and pretty happy.<br />
As always, I am happy to be on the other side of something I have been stressing about.&nbsp; That moment when I get to slip into bed,&nbsp; pull the covers up to my chin and exhale is heavenly.<br />
It went really well and I want to thank evryone who showed up for the amazing energy in the room.&nbsp; <br />

     <description><![CDATA[I've had several lovely weeks off from work, but Fall is officially here so it's time to &quot;go back to school&quot; !!<br />

My first concert back was a TOSOM show and it was a blast.&nbsp; The band is really starting to jell.&nbsp; We have our showcase on the 22nd of October so that is a good thing.<br />

In a few days I head to DC to sing with Marvin and the Orchestra.&nbsp; Marvin wanted to celebrate the music of Judy Garland.&nbsp; I'm flattered he asked me to be part of the evening.&nbsp; I will be singing 20 minutes in the first half and 40 minutes in the second half...]]></description>

     <description><![CDATA[The winds are blowing down in the gulf and the stress is blowing around my house.<br />
I'm just doing last minute things to get ready for the show tonight....everything that I forgot to do....or put off doing.<br />

I feel nervous, but Lenape is a bit like home for me so hopefully that will calm me down.<br />
I look forward to playing the new music again and singing with TOSOM.<br />
