I
have been very fortunate this year that Linda came to Florida more
than once. Every performance I attended was simply superb, and it
was totally thrilling just to be there to listen to that wonderful
voice coming out of a beautiful, humble, and most gracious performer.
In everyone's lifetime span, we tend to favor voices that touch
our inner awareness of our spiritual plateau that music can lead
us to. Sometimes we just wait for that special time and that special
voice to come to us. We never know the time or place or venue where
it may happen, but we eagerly wait. Sometimes it happens and sometimes
not. There have been only a handful for me, but I remember the first
time and the place and it has been a long time in-between. Then
came Linda. I believe with all my heart that God saved the best
for last. I am looking forward to the coming year with the new CD
and the "new" performances that Linda has planned. And
where else could you find such a talented individual who allows
her fans to pick the songs she will sing? You would not, and that
is why she is unique and there is only one Linda. And, yes, thank
you, Linda.

I would
just like to emphasis a huge THANK YOU to Linda for the countless
great tunes through the years past, present, and yet to come. From
the powerhouse vocals to the warm and sensitive ballads, your emotive
power is transcendent and classic. Some people express and discover
themselves best through music, and it is a gift to be able to do so,
as well as a gift to ride along on the journey. You're awesome! |

I
attended your show in December at the Mohegan Sun Casino, and I want
to tell you how much I loved the show. I was visiting my daughter
in Rhode Island for Christmas, and she brought my husband and me to
the show. She had already given me your Christmas CD two years ago,
which I loved from the first time I heard it. You didn't keep all
the original arrangements from years ago, but anything new you did
was true to the original versions. Hearing you sing some of my favorite
Christmas songs in person was a special treat I will not soon forget.
I don't know when I will get to see a concert of yours again because
I don't think you ever come to Oregon. But if you do, I will definitely
come to the show. |

I
saw your concert last night in Sarasota, Florida. This was my second
time seeing you, and I enjoyed the concert as much this time as I
did the first time. I am originally from South Carolina and moved
down here a few years back to take care of my ill mother. Fortunately,
I was able to retire from my job to be able to do this.
Since
I have been down here in Florida, I have met and become friends with
some people from my church. That has helped me a lot because it was
difficult leaving all my friends in South Carolina. I am a widower
with no children and friends mean so much to me. Several of these
friends from church really like your music. They gave me a few of
your CDs to listen to and I was sold. They have now brought me with
them twice to see your concert, and I am very grateful for the enjoyment
this has brought to me. I hope I get to see you again soon. Thank
you for your beautiful voice. I can see why you call your newsletter
THE VOICE. It's the best voice I ever heard. |

My partner, John, and I just returned from your concert in New Brunswick
at the State Theatre. You have the most amazing voice we ever heard!
The first time we ever heard you was in JEKYLL & HYDE over ten
years ago. We try to get to a concert whenever you are appearing in
the New York or New Jersey area. In between concerts, we love reading
THE VOICE on your Web site. We love it! It is so wonderful that you
write a letter to your fans so they know what you are up to in your
life and career. It is very kind of you to do that for your fans,
and we are two fans who appreciate it very much. We met you once years
ago after JEKYLL & HYDE, but we didn't have a camera to get a
picture. One day we would like to do that. Thank you for your beautiful
music. We hope you never stop singing it.
Sincerely,
Mark Conley and John Foley

Eder, you are just the greatest singer in the whole world! I have
all of your CDs, and I travel to different cities in Florida every
winter when you come down here to do some concerts. We are really
lucky down here in Florida because when it gets cold where you live,
you get on a plane and bring your glorious voice to us. My senior
citizens' group never misses a show. Not everybody can make it every
time, but most of us are always there among all the white heads you
must see when you look out into the audience. The most fun was a few
years ago when you invited people to come up to the stage to give
quarters for an animal charity. I think more than half the audience
came forward with money. I hope you never stop coming to Florida because
your senior citizen fans will be sad if you do. You help to keep us
young at heart. Thank you. |

This
is a message from an old cowboy in Nevada. I watched a show called
Trail MIX on TV with my granddaughter and fell in love with you. We
have something in common
we both love horses. I live on a small
ranch out here and don't really get to go to Las Vegas very often,
but I'm sure as heck going to try to get there one of these times
when you are singing there. I'll be wearing my cowboy boots and big
hat. I hope I will get to do this while I'm still pretty healthy. |

I was first introduced to your music through my dance teacher when
I was in high school and JEKYLL & HYDE was on Broadway. My teacher
loved all the music and used it for several dances I performed.
My mom took me to see JEKYLL & HYDE and I fell in love with
the music too. I bought the album after I left the theatre that
day. I left home in 1997 to attend college in Tallahassee, Florida,
and I ended up staying there for nine years. I wasn't home for many
concerts during these years, but I managed to attend some shows
when I was home for a holiday or just a visit. I was lucky to be
able to attend the taping of your Christmas Special at Mohegan Sun
and your Christmas shows at Carnegie Hall and the Gershwin Theatre.
I am now living back in New Jersey and I have been able to attend
some shows. My favorite show continues to be the Christmas show,
which I attended at Lenape for the past two years. I especially
love your performances with a choir.

My
husband and I attended your show with Michael Feinstein last night
and we loved you both, separately and together. We were familiar with
Mr. Feinstein, but we had not heard of you before. I don't know how
we ever missed out on hearing your voice. It's a wonderful voice by
itself, but you and Mr. Feinstein blend your voices together so effortlessly
and beautifully. I am so happy that my husband's boss invited us to
spend this evening with him and his wife. We are going to buy a few
of your recordings as soon as possible. Thank you for a very enjoyable
evening. |

We
want to tell you how much we loved the concert you performed with
Michael Feinstein in Dallas, Texas. It's so hard to believe that the
girl we saw at The Alley Theatre in Houston years ago has grown into
such a beautiful woman with a voice that has grown bigger and better
over the years. The show was so much fun for us because we were familiar
with all those duet partners whose songs you sang. I guess you can
tell we're getting up there in years. Thank you for a great evening
out. |

A few years back I happened to be walking by the TV and noticed
a gal singing "Don't Rain On My Parade" on a TV special.
I believe it was a special where all types of singers from different
types of music were singing Broadway. I literally stopped dead in
my tracks. I was floored by the power of Linda's voice. I searched
for her on the Web thereafter, but unfortunately couldn't find anything
due to my spelling her name wrong. Not too long after that, I was
switching channels and there she was again on her own Christmas
Special. Believe me, I got the spelling of her name right this time.
My first live concert of hers, I believe, was at the Turning Stone
Casino. I've been to see her live at West Palm Beach, Mohegan Sun,
Turning Stone several times, Schenectady twice, and Ocean Grove,
and even arranged some of my travel plans around where she was going
to be. I'm 49 years old and have NEVER been one to follow a singer
and/or musician like I do Linda. My husband says I'm simply obsessed
with that voice of hers :-). My mom now adores her as well, and
it's brought some special times with my mother traveling to Linda's
concerts that we'll always remember.
While at a concert at Mohegan Sun, I was asked my thoughts on Linda
by a group that was taping her that night. I was thrilled that my
tiny comment about her ("Great Voice, Great Personality")
made it into her Trail MIX video. I actually forgot about this little
interview and almost fell off the couch while first viewing this
TV special when I saw my face pop up. I also share my love of horses
with Linda as well, since I'm an equestrian.
Bottom line
she touches me with her music, passion, clarity,
range, and showmanship each and every time I see her. I've converted
loads of friends and family to her music. Linda, I realize touring
can be exhausting and possibly get "old," but for fans
like me, your concerts mean everything and are such a special treat
to look forward to. Your talent is endless, so don't ever stop!

My
name is Mikayla Ressler. I just turned 13 in November, and I am a
HUGE fan of yours. I first saw you perform live in Salt Lake City
a few years ago, and I have loved your music ever since. I own three
of your CDs: IT'S TIME, BROADWAY MY WAY, and GOLD. I listen to them
constantly. I myself am a singer, and in many competitions I have
sung "Don't Rain On My Parade" and "Man Of La Mancha"
(and yes, I can sing that high note). I won the Utah Farm Bureau Talent
Find two years ago singing "Man Of La Mancha." It has always
been my dream to sing with you. I think that would be the best experience
of my life, and I would never forget it. Thank you for all you do,
and I wish you and your son luck. |

A few years ago at Myr Mar lodge on Mille Lacs

stage by the fireplace where we all fell in love with "the voice."
We followed your career to the Twin Cities and attended a few performances
at various locations.
We have attended all the performances in Brainerd and recently one
in Minneapolis with the Minnesota Orchestra. Congratulations, young
lady! |

newest CD to drop! I'm glad I discovered you in my advancing years...
something to look forward to again (musically). You are great and
I keep hoping you will come to one of the many venues in Grand Rapids,
Michigan. Thanks for your voice, for sharing your wonderful talent,
and for giving up your summer to share it. Thanks to everyone who
works on THE VOICE, too.

I recently became a huge fan of yours. I found
you on Rhapsody and bought your Anthology song book.
"And So Much More" has a great deal of importance and meaning
to me. You see, I just lost my little West Highland Terrier named
Wesley, and during the last couple months of his life, I'd cradle
him in my arms and sing this song while you sang on my computer. The
day he died [two days ago on Sunday 09/16/07], I cradled him as usual
and sang as much of the song as I could without crying, and then let
you take over. This went on for a couple hours, until he told me he
needed to go to the doctor to help him go to sleep.
During my wait in the private room, I sang "And So Much More"
as best I could, and again when he passed. I still sing it to him,
with your help. I can't begin to tell you how much your song means
to me! Wesley and I thank you. |
