The
first meeting of Fan Joyce Hoyle and Linda
|
| I
first heard Linda sing "Bells of St. Paul" on the
"Rosie Show" five years ago and have been hooked ever
since
the following year I saw her live for the first time
here in Rhode Island
then I was lucky enough to see her
at Proctors' in Albany followed by a Valentine's Day "Meet
& Greet" at Yono's Restaurant where she, ever so graciously,
sat for upwards of two hours just talking and posing for pictures
with her adoring fans.
Obviously,
the first impression one has of Linda Eder is the sound of
that incredible voice that can go from angelic to bombastic
in a heartbeat with that final note going on forever
but
after meeting her you see there is so much more to her than
the voice
she is caring, kind, gracious and has a great
sense of humor. While speaking with her you find that she
looks you right in the eye, much like a friend does
I
found it extremely rare to meet a "celebrity" as
kind and with as much humility
oh yes, did I forget to
say, drop dead gorgeous and to top it off
who knew????
An
incredible actress and artist?? This gal doesn't have an ounce
of "Diva" in her
it's no wonder her army grows
daily!! Now if we could just get her back on Broadway in CAMILLE
CLAUDEL, the rest of the world could know. But for now to
all "Lindaholics" she will forever remain "our
Linda"
and long may she reign

I
found Linda on her Christmas show 2002 on television (PBS) and
was amazed by her fantastic voice. When she sang "If I
Had My Way" and the tears rolled down her cheeks, I was
hooked! I thought if she feels her songs as deeply as that I
had to learn more about this gal. Wow, I now have five CDs "Gold,"
"It's Time," "It's No Secret Anymore," "And
So Much More," and her Christmas CD. Her PC screen saver
now greets me very often with her beautiful face! I have been
telling everyone I know about her and that she is coming to
the Community Arts Theatre here in Williamsport to try and fill
the seats. I have emailed all of the people in my address book
with a short sample of her fantastic voice. I took a picture
of Linda and concert info for my dentist and his secretary during
my last appointment. I tell all of my neighbors and friends
about Linda and how I love her three octave range voice so often
that my wife tells them that I am in love with her! I just want
to share a good thing with others. To love someone, you must
know them. I do not know Linda, but I am in love with her voice
as I know it intimately. Besides I am 65 and married to the
greatest gal for 40 years. Now I am writing a letter to the
editor of our newspaper to tell the people not to miss out on
one of the best talents to come to town in a long time. Can't
wait until April 1st. I'm as anxious as a mosquito going to
a nudist colony! |

My dad and I are huge Linda Eder fans. Recently, we were lucky
enough to be given the opportunity, at a charity event, to
meet her. However brief the meeting neither one of us will
ever forget it. She was so kind. Her voice is so amazing.
I have two daughters, ages 21 and 17. Both of them also love
Linda and her music. It is a pleasure to have events such
as her concerts to take the whole family to enjoy. Thank you
Linda for sharing your talent with all of us. We love you
and look forward to more music A.S.A.P.

Some
people thought we were crazy when we told them we were traveling
18 hours from home to see you perform
okay, I thought
so too when Tammy suggested it, but, Linda, you are worth
it! Your kindness and generosity towards my family challenge
even the exquisiteness of your beauty. You are a rare talent
who has brought immeasurable joy and some cherished new relationships
into our lives. Thank you for giving so much of yourself to
your audience and to your fans. I think I speak for all of
us when I say how much we all love you. You truly exist in
a class all by yourself.
Next time we see you I hope it's in a city that allows left
turns and doesn't require Mapquest for directions. I'll also
try and bring an extra can of bug spray for all those pesky
critters that like to follow you around on stage. One thing
I do know is that somewhere out there in "Broadway Land"
a little sculptor is crafting a Tony award with your name
on it. I think Camille just might be the ticket!
