Volume 7- Edition 2
Winter/Spring 2007

We've made it through the long, cold and snowy winter, and we are all looking forward to some warmer weather and no snow to shovel. Some of you were really hit hard this winter, and we hope that the latest edition of THE VOICE will help to welcome you to some warmer weather.

Linda's letter to her fans is always the highlight of each and every edition of THE VOICE, and the latest letter contains news about something all the fans are dying to know more about… the new CD! Thank you, Linda, for taking the time to write this very special letter!

We are once again featuring the best Bass player in the world, the amazing David Finck. David was the very first band member to be featured in THE VOICE, so we've come full circle. (You can read the first article that featured David in the Winter 2003 Edition.) David talks about some topics that we're sure will interest our readers.

Ronni Hart met and married Dave Hart, Linda's booking agent, and has been working very closely with Linda as her concert manager ever since. Ronni works hard to bring Linda to the many venues across the country so that we may all experience "the voice." In our interview with her, Ronni shares some insight into the many duties of a concert manager and her wonderful friendship with Linda.

"Two For The Road" has been performed by Linda and Michael Feinstein all across the United States and has been very warmly received by audiences everywhere. In the last edition, we featured interviews with Linda and Michael. In this edition, we feature the members of the band — without whom the show would not be complete — and get their thoughts on the show from their unique perspective.

On May 1, 2007, Linda will make a triumphant return to Feinstein's at The Regency on New York City's Park Avenue where she will perform through May 12th. Whether you have attended one of these shows in the past, are planning to attend a show during this run, or simply enjoy the experience by hearing about it from others, you will enjoy reading the Feinstein's article and Linda's interview.

Linda's 2006 Holiday Shows were a huge success as always. Some fans have shared their thoughts after attending some of these shows. Fans as young as five years old and from as far away as Germany wrote to THE VOICE to tell us about their special experience during this "most wonderful time of the year!" Can you just hear the sleigh bells now?

Fan Corner is always a favorite feature in THE VOICE. Linda loves reading all of your messages. Once again we have heard from fans located all across the United States and beyond. Thank you for the many e-mails we have received since the last edition.

Kim Scharnberg was featured in the Winter 2004 Edition of THE VOICE. He is constantly in demand as a producer and arranger, and he works very closely with Linda on her projects. The Editorial Staff of THE VOICE recently had the opportunity to catch up with Kim to find out what projects he has been busily pursuing.

I'm working with a great new artist, Argentinean-born tenor Carlos De Antonis, who currently lives in Milan, Italy. I just finished producing and arranging his first crossover Classical CD in Los Angeles. It was recorded with a 45-piece orchestra at Capitol Studios, you know, the cool, round building you see on TV when they talk about Hollywood! And... drumroll please... Linda sang a duet with him which sounds AMAZING! The song, written by David Friedman, is called "Two Different Worlds" and vocally combines Linda's world with Carlos' more Classical world. I recently conducted his United States debut concert at UCLA's Royce Hall, and hopefully everyone will hear a lot more about him in the months to come. I can't thank Linda enough for singing on his album!

I'm also still working with the young vocalist Kaitlyn Lusk, who has been traveling the world singing with major orchestras as the soloist with Howard Shore's LORD OF THE RINGS SYMPHONY. I'm going with her to Vienna in April where she will be doing it accompanied by the Vienna Boy's Choir. In addition, we're in the preproduction stages for her next solo project.

Here's something I know all THE VOICE readers will be excited to hear about! I recently played trombone (no… not dressed as Santa!) for a benefit concert at my high school in Iowa along with Broadway singer Time Shew, who also used to play trombone! We're going to perform my arrangement of "Anything You Can Do (I Can Do Lower)," which should be fun... and mercifully short.

Last, but never ever least, I'm looking forward to working on Linda's upcoming album that's still in the planning stages. Stay tuned! Thank you to Amanda, Ellen and Lori for giving me this opportunity to share my career update with Linda's fans! Feel free to check out my Web site at www.KimScharnberg.com.

Bringing THE VOICE to Linda's fans is, as it always has been, an honor and a privilege for us as Eder-tors. The support we receive is amazing and truly humbling to us.

To Linda: You are our inspiration! Your kindness to your fans and your support of THE VOICE is unique among celebrities. Thank you for always being available to assist us with this fan publication.

A SPECIAL NOTE FROM THE EDER-TORS:

We would like to acknowledge the passing of a special friend, Sara Whalen, of Pets Alive. We were privileged to have known this very special lady. Through our interview and through the time we spent with her, we came to realize what an amazing woman she was. Sara never thought of herself… everything was for her animals. We were supposed to have a "date" with Sara to go to the lobster buffet at The Manor in West Orange, NJ, but sadly it never happened before she became so ill. She wanted to feast on as many lobsters as she could eat… there is no limit! We hope there are lobsters up in heaven!
God bless you, Sara!
We will miss you.

To Michael Feinstein: It is such an honor to have you be part of THE VOICE once again! We are in awe of your talent and your knowledge, and we have learned so much from you. Two For The Roadhas brought together two amazingly talented people and continues to thrill audiences across the country. Thank you for the kindness you show us.

To Ronni Hart: We knew what an amazing and classy person you were from the first time we met you. It has been so wonderful to work with you for the past several years, and it's been great getting to know you better. Thank you for taking the time to speak with us and for all the kindness you have shown us as we prepare THE VOICE.

To David Finck: Thank you for being so generous with your time. We can always count on you to support any project we have. You were our "first victim" when we were just starting out on this journey, so we hope you are happy with the results of our second interview. We certainly learned so much from talking to you.

To Kim Scharnberg: You are Linda's "arranger extraordinaire!" Thank you for keeping us updated on your career and your work with Linda.

To The Band: You are the most wonderful group of musicians in the world! Thank you for being so supportive of THE VOICE!

To Dave Hart, Jill Siegel and Jeffery Osborne: Thank you for your support and assistance in making THE VOICE a very special publication.

To All Linda's Fans: Thank you for your letters and e-mails from all over the world! It truly amazes us to read how Linda has affected your lives and how much pleasure she brings to you through her music. THE VOICE is "all for you" so keep those letters and pictures coming for future issues!

Happy reading!

Warmest regards,
