Once
upon a time,
In a land not far away,
Was a perfect place called "Ederville,"
Or at least that's what some say.
|
Linda
Street in Sarasota, Florida
|
|
Linda
Avenue in Circle Pines, Minnesota
|
So
we set out upon a journey,
To find this little town,
We looked high and low, near and far,
And were amazed at what we found.
|
|
At
first we knew not where to turn,
Where could this "Ederville"
be?
And so we enlisted the help of some friends,
To help find this mystical city.
|

Linda

|

Linda
Lane in Doylestown, Pennsylvania
|
First
someone said, "Try Linda Street!
That seems a good place to start!"
We said, "Okay, we'll give that a try,"
And others added, "Try Hart!"
|
|
So
off we went to Linda Street,
And Linda Avenue, Place and Lane,
We all traveled so far, by foot and by car,
We thought we'd go insane!
|

Hart
Boulevard in Flemington, New Jersey
|

Hart
Drive North and Hart Drive South
in West Orange, New Jersey
|
Still
others journeyed on to Hart Boulevard,
And Hart Drive, both
North and South,
We searched high and low, all around,
And began to wonder what this search was about.
|
|
"Perhaps
'Ederville,'" we
thought to ourselves,
"Can be found in places
once graced by 'The Voice?'"
And we tried Carnegie Place
and Plymouth Road,
They seemed an obvious choice.
|

Plymouth

Hyde
Park Office Complex in Buckingham Township, Pennsylvania;
Hyde Road in Bloomfield, New Jersey; Emma Lane in Doylestown,
Pennsylvania
|
Still
others said, "How about JEKYLL & HYDE?"
And we found Hyde Road
and a place called Hyde Park,
We even found Emma Lane,
But our chances of finding "Ederville"
were beginning to look stark!
|
|
So
we thought, "What about 'the tour?'"
And the one in charge of the sound,
Surly we'd get some perspective on
Osborne Street,
And then "Ederville"
would be found.

|

Jakes
Junction in Attleboro, Massachusetts
|
Still
more suggested,
We seek out Linda's most loved one,
And we said, "Great idea!"
And went to Jakes Junction.
|
|
Then
it was on to Eder Terrace,
Where we were sure we were getting warm,
And when Eder Avenue came
into view,
Our dream of finding "Ederville"
began to form.

|
That's
when we heard it!
Eureka! At last!
Ederville Road is real!
Look, hurry fast!
|
|
We
couldn't believe our eyes,
But there it was in blue and white,
"Ederville"
was real!
We were right!

|
And
that's when our friends, who helped us find this place,
Had a run in with the law,
The cop asked, "Why are you so excited?"
And they tried to explain what they saw.
|
|
They
exclaimed with a start,
"It's 'Ederville!'
Don't you see?"
But all he said was, "Move along please,
It just looks like a sign to me."
|
|
|
|
And
so the moral of this little tale,
With all its stops and starts,
Is that you don't need to leave home to find "Ederville..."
|
...FOR
"EDERVILLE" LIVES IN OUR HEARTS!
| We
would like to extend a very special thank you to the
fair citizens of Ederville who helped to document this journey:
Jill Adams, Jo Blackhead, Don Fogell, Joyce Hoyle, Heather Hunt,
Michelle Koller, Steven Koller, Judi McCabe, Don Schuenemann,
and Dana Slavin. We hope to see you all, and many more fans
and friends we've yet to meet, further down the road! |
